About the Role
As the lead engineering authority, you will drive technical solutions for power‑system projects and tenders, coordinating with system, primary, mechanical, secondary, and control engineering teams. Responsibilities include reviewing equipment sizing, assessing risks, interacting with customers, contractors and suppliers, presenting technical aspects at meetings, and evaluating cost of engineering disciplines for Business Unit approval. You will apply standard processes, tools, and international standards (IEEE/IEC/GIGRE) while ensuring safety, contractual compliance and sharing best practices across the organization. • Lead engineering for substation and eBoP projects of varying complexity. • Coordinate technical solutions across system, primary, mechanical, secondary, and control engineering teams. • Review equipment sizing and evaluate risk mitigation strategies. • Engage with customers, contractors, and suppliers; present technical aspects in meetings. • Assess engineering discipline costs and secure Business Unit approval. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, contractual requirements, and IEEE/IEC/GIGRE standards. • Share best practices and collaborate with colleagues across countries.
What You Bring
Candidates should hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (systems, primary or secondary) and possess 8–10 years of experience in medium‑ to high‑voltage power‑systems, particularly substations and eBoP. Required skills include strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, high ownership, negotiation and persuasion capabilities, and fluency in spoken and written English. • Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering with 8–10 years of power‑systems experience. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills. • Maintain proficiency in spoken and written English.
