About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Associated Director level Project Controls specialist to lead the implementation and delivery of PMO and Project Controls services across our rapidly growing Americas region, supporting upcoming commissions with new and existing clients in New York, California, Denver, Seattle and Texas. • Advocate safety first, ensuring exceptional safety, quality, cost, schedule, sustainability and compliance standards. • Apply advanced expertise in local health and safety regulations. • Champion diversity, inclusion, and the wellbeing of team members. • Deliver PMO and Project Controls services performance on assigned commissions. • Design and implement effective PMO and Project Controls frameworks and strategies. • Manage and direct clients, consultants, contractors and project teams on PMO and Project Controls matters. • Serve as trusted advisor and build strong professional relationships with client organizations. • Act as Subject Matter Expert for PMO and Project Controls on assigned projects, programs and portfolios. • Lead administration of PMO and Project Controls processes, covering cost, schedule, change, risk and reporting. • Conduct periodic reporting, governance and performance meetings. • Develop and manage baselines (scope, time, cost, risk, assumptions) and monitor delivery performance, change and contingencies, including quantitative risk analysis. • Ensure activities comply with Mace Control Centre, client requirements and legislation. • Provide line management and mentorship to junior PMO and Project Controls staff. • Lead delivery of a high‑performing PMO and Project Controls team on the commission. • Support the Hub PMO and Project Control Director with resourcing and recruitment. • Collaborate toward net‑zero carbon transition, managing associated emissions and reductions. • Manage project budgets ensuring fiscal and ethical viability and compliance. • Support senior stakeholders in shaping long‑term strategy for a function or business unit. • Uphold Mace values and hold others accountable for non‑compliance. • Lead team effectively and develop members to reach full potential. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders up to C‑Suite to implement and manage programs.

What You Bring

• Network, innovate and leverage Mace group knowledge, centres of excellence, control centre and knowledge hub. • Significant experience as a PMO manager/leader within a large PMO. • Proven track record of PMO and Project Controls leadership on major construction projects and management consultancies. • Strong knowledge of construction markets and ability to drive innovation. • Experience establishing effective PMO and Project Controls frameworks/strategies. • Expert knowledge of PMO and Project Controls tools, techniques and software. • Practical experience with data analytics, intelligent reporting, Power BI and related tools. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholder and senior leadership relationships. • Strong analytical and appraisal skills for negotiations, problem solving and conflict resolution. • Growth mindset promoting curiosity, high‑quality contribution, collaboration and sharing best practices. • Ability to manage activities with high uncertainty. • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent professional body. • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise. • Strong commercial and financial acumen. • Leadership experience of large, diverse teams. • Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders. • Knowledge of carbon and sustainability considerations affecting projects.
