About the Role
This role as the Assembled Products (AP) Engineering Manager on the Line Installation and Protective Equipment (LIPE) product line engineering team is both challenging and rewarding. It is crucial for ensuring the technical performance of designs, communicating with leaders, and collaborating with a distributed team to drive business success, including occasional travel to Mexico, India, and within the US. Most importantly, the position involves developing the team to achieve excellence and continuous improvement. Strategic Planning: The manager partners with Product and Operations leadership to develop and integrate a five‑year roadmap and strategy for products and technology related to the Assembled Product line. They also identify and escalate organizational research and development needs, including headcount and expense allocation for growth and cost‑reduction projects. Talent Management: The role recruits, develops, and retains top talent to ensure alignment with the business’s top goals. It leads the AP engineering team by fostering a culture of continuous learning, providing clear guidance and support, and encouraging teamwork and innovation. Collaboration: The manager ensures engineering support of plant and cross‑functional teams in pursuit of Manufacturing Operations and Logistics (MOL) and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) initiatives. This cooperation facilitates efficient production and cost‑saving improvements. Project Management: The manager ensures the integrity of engineering work on processes and projects through a Stage Gate process and provides timely, detailed updates on ongoing activities as requested by leadership, such as yearly reviews and project updates. They also work with project managers to manage the budget for the Assembled Product Line. Technical Support: The manager guides the engineering team in all aspects of engineering, including product knowledge, design, CAE tools, and design for manufacturability and reliability. They provide plant support for engineering, manufacturing, and quality process improvement projects, and support MOL and Quality Control, including production testing and day‑to‑day technical product support for the Assembled Product Line. • Lead and develop the Assembled Products engineering team, fostering continuous learning and innovation. • Partner with product and operations leaders to create a five‑year roadmap and allocate R&D resources. • Provide engineering support for plant operations, MOL, and VA/VE initiatives. • Manage projects through the Stage Gate process, overseeing budgets and delivering status updates. • Guide technical work including product design, CAE tools, and design for manufacturability and reliability. • Recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent aligned with business goals.

What You Bring
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution is required, with a master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have six or more years of engineering experience and at least two years of experience leading teams, as well as Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification. Hands‑on experience with phase‑gate project management processes, from concept through production, is also essential. • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering (master’s preferred) with 6+ years engineering experience. • Possess at least 2 years of team‑leadership experience and Six Sigma green/black belt certification. • Demonstrate hands‑on experience with phase‑gate project management from concept to production.
