Job Highlights
About the Role
The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detailed design of offshore (platforms, FPSO, etc.) and onshore facilities. This includes complete ownership of studies, specifications, and services related to MV (11 kV) and LV (690/400 V) switchgear, power management systems, MV VFDs, and distribution systems. In this role you will manage a team of engineers covering design calculations, electrical packages such as switchgear, transformers, UPS, and distribution boards, as well as coordinate with mechanical engineers on document reviews. You will also supervise designers producing 3D models and generating 2D deliverables like single line diagrams, block diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and layout drawings. • Lead FEED and detailed design for offshore and onshore MV/LV electrical systems. • Develop specifications and perform studies for switchgear, power management, and VFDs. • Manage engineering teams delivering design calculations and electrical packages. • Oversee 3D modeling and produce 2D deliverables such as SLDs and layout diagrams. • Ensure designs comply with IEC, BSI, and other international electrical codes. • Conduct system assessment and compliance studies with comprehensive reporting. • Provide technical guidance on transformers, UPS, and distribution board specifications. • Collaborate with mechanical engineers to review and integrate multidisciplinary documents.
