About the Role
The mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of company equipment, including trucks, trailers, and heavy‑equipment such as mini‑excavators and backhoes. Work includes conducting road tests, ordering parts, keeping detailed maintenance records, and ensuring projects meet deadlines while maintaining a clean and safe workspace. • Inspect, repair, and maintain company trucks, line trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently. • Conduct road tests and operational checks to verify quality of repairs. • Order parts, materials, and supplies as needed. • Keep accurate records and reports of maintenance activities. • Monitor project deadlines and prioritize assignments. • Maintain clean and organized tools, supplies, and workstations.

What You Bring
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and solid knowledge of vehicle repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and basic welding. Strong communication skills, good hand‑eye coordination, and the ability to follow safety guidelines are essential; the role also requires the ability to commute to Eagle River, WI, and work standard business hours. • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. • Demonstrated knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics. • Ability to perform tune‑ups, hydraulic brake jobs, basic wiring, and minor diesel/drivetrain work. • Proficient with cutting torch and basic welding techniques. • Familiar with minor heavy‑equipment repairs and safety guidelines. • Strong verbal communication, hand‑eye coordination, and visual acuity. • Reliable commuting to Eagle River, WI site during standard business hours.
