About the Role

The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining a continuous inventory of all tools, tracking daily issuance, and monitoring shortages or lost items. The role requires completing assured grounding training and learning all related safety hazards to safely use and operate work‑related tools and equipment. Work is performed in plant operations or construction job‑site settings. • Maintain maintenance log and a system for tracking tool movement and location • Perform routine maintenance on small engines such as generators, sand tamps, and water pumps • Complete repairs, tag, or replace broken tools • Inspect extension cords and power cords for broken wires, cracked insulation, or other damages • Replace broken handles of hammers, shovels, and similar tools • Assist other craft workers as needed • Perform repetitive hand/arm motions and maintain hand/eye coordination • Operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, pneumatic) and climb ladders, scaffolds, and frameworks • Work on uneven, muddy, rocky, or soft surfaces and in confined spaces; endure adverse weather conditions • Perform sedentary to heavy work, including bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, and standing
