About the Role
The Executive • Transport oversees daily transportation operations, coordinating staff and vehicle movement while managing vendor relationships, route planning, cost optimisation, and compliance with safety standards. The role also handles employee transport requirements, MIS reporting, service quality monitoring, escalation resolution, and supports process improvements for efficient and safe transport services. Service delivery focuses on providing high‑quality, prompt, and courteous transport management, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining service standards. The executive attends to emergencies, including medical transport needs, to minimise disruption. Coordination and communication involve daily liaison with the Customer’s Transport Manager on operational matters, escalation of issues beyond delegated authority, and collaboration with vendor operations teams to ensure timely employee pickups and drops. The role also responds to employee calls regarding transport issues and communicates SOP or process updates. Fleet and vendor management includes monitoring and controlling fleet deployment by vendors, ensuring safety compliance such as seat‑belt use, first‑aid kits, fire extinguishers, and driver readiness before dispatch. It also validates cab‑in times, coordinates vehicle maintenance schedules, ensures vendor adherence to operational standards, and reports non‑compliance. Operational planning requires preparing transport rosters before dispatch, incorporating deviations, and documenting last‑minute changes. The executive plans driver schedules and shifts, optimises route planning to reduce costs, and utilises GPS or Transport Management Systems for real‑time tracking. Compliance and safety responsibilities involve adhering to transport safety norms and legal regulations, maintaining proper documentation for audits and inspections, investigating incidents, and tracking fuel consumption and vehicle usage to prevent misuse. Reporting and analysis ensure timely release of daily MIS reports by vendors, analysis of transport data to identify trends and inefficiencies, and preparation of periodic performance and compliance reports for management.
