About the Role

The Maintenance Sr. Site Manager for a pulp & paper mill is based on‑site and leads daily field maintenance across assigned areas such as the pulp mill, OCC, machine, winder and ECR. The role oversees 65‑100 employees through a supervision team, directs planning and scheduling via a dedicated planner, and ensures all work complies with industry codes, standards and company policies. Responsibilities include providing technical input for schedules, managing subcontracted rebuilds, controlling labor costs, and maintaining safety and quality standards. The Sr. Site Manager is expected to exemplify Brown & Root’s core values, including business ethics, leadership, teamwork, and adherence to the Site Manager Expectations Manual. They must foster constructive interaction, hold team members accountable, coach subordinates professionally, and build strong client relationships. • Lead and instill B&R and client core values. • Partner with HSE Manager to implement site safety program. • Coordinate with procurement and engineering managers for critical equipment. • Oversee craft supervisors: set expectations, plan, monitor, coach, enforce policies. • Improve KPIs, maintenance functions, and budget effectiveness. • Ensure compliance with Site Quality Program. • Provide FEL support and design solutions with engineering contractor. • Manage crew balance through recruiting, hiring, training, and development. • Greet employees daily and assign gate‑greet supervisors. • Conduct daily safety huddles (morning and end‑of‑shift) with HSE content. • Ensure timely submission of timesheets and personnel records. • Promote participation in weekly safety meetings and monthly leadership meetings. • Monitor crew workflow, control points, and implement cost reductions. • Conduct daily/weekly safety audits ensuring permits and procedures are followed. • Participate in client safety audits. • Attend client capital project and maintenance planning/scheduling meetings. • Collaborate with client maintenance and capital project teams on scheduling and priorities. • Uphold quality service and customer satisfaction standards. • Review and improve systems, procedures, and controls. • Resolve personnel issues through analysis and action. • Create and sustain safe work environment; oversee supervision, coaching, process improvement, budgeting, planning, and strategy. • Complete site‑specific onboarding curriculum.

What You Bring

Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED and be able to work in dusty, hot, cold or wet conditions while navigating stairs, ladders and confined spaces. The ideal applicant brings 10‑12 years of craft experience in a paper mill, 7‑10 years of direct supervisory experience, and 5‑7 years as a site maintenance manager, along with relevant certifications (e.g., NCCER, CMRP). Strong computer skills, verbal communication abilities, and competency in planning and scheduling papermill maintenance are also required.
