About the Role

The Relief Driver – CDL (B) safely operates collection trucks to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal services. The driver also ensures the vehicle complies with company safety standards, adheres to all state and federal regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports to address any defects. Key duties include performing thorough pre‑ and post‑operation inspections, following assigned routes and service schedules, loading and compacting refuse, and delivering waste to designated disposal sites. Drivers also monitor waste for prohibited materials, clean spills, and maintain vehicle cleanliness to minimize downtime. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate a collection truck along assigned routes, reading route sheets and delivering waste to disposal sites. • Load, compact, and unload refuse using manual or automatic controls per safety policies. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members to ensure timely service. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers according to procedures. • Monitor waste for prohibited materials and clean accidental spills following safety standards. • Keep the vehicle clean and operational, removing waste from the packer blade and truck body each trip. • Complete route productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports (VCRs), and other required documentation. • Meet departmental productivity standards and adhere to all safety policies. • Participate in the Company’s ReSOP safety program. • Provide excellent customer service with honesty, trustworthiness, and professionalism. • Follow company policies, promote safety standards, and avoid inappropriate risks.

What You Bring

Strong customer‑service skills, reliable time management, and a commitment to safety are essential. Candidates should possess a Class B (or higher) CDL with air‑brake endorsement, and two years of commercial truck experience is preferred. • Manage time effectively to complete responsibilities safely and efficiently. • Hold a Class B (or higher) CDL with air‑brake endorsement; two years commercial truck experience preferred.
