Job Highlights
About the Role
• Develop competitive bids for Institutional Healthcare, Data Centers, and large‑scale Commercial opportunities. • Identify and capture scope‑creep opportunities during the bidding phase. • Manage a pipeline of 30+ active opportunities with precise estimating and tracking. • Apply deep knowledge of hydronic systems, VFDs, electrification‑based HVAC retrofits, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH units. • Interpret multi‑layered MEP drawings to spot spatial conflicts before field work. • Ensure compliance with Oregon Energy Codes, OSHPD/OAR healthcare requirements, and LEED standards. • Perform value engineering to propose cost‑effective material and layout alternatives. • Create accurate order‑of‑magnitude pricing from incomplete designs or narratives. • Mitigate risk by assessing non‑standard work conditions, labor productivity, and supply‑chain lead times. • Translate complex mechanical solutions into clear ROI messaging for non‑technical stakeholders. • Negotiate vendor quotes to align with project budgets while maintaining supplier relationships.

What You Bring
Candidates must bring 5–10+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC estimating experience in the Pacific Northwest, with proven expertise in healthcare and mission‑critical environments. Required skills include value engineering, conceptual estimating, risk mitigation, technical translation for non‑technical stakeholders, and strong negotiation abilities, as well as deep knowledge of hydronic systems, VFDs, electrification retrofits, and relevant codes and sustainability standards.
