Human Resources Compliance Specialist

About the Role
The specialist will support HR initiatives such as EEO plans, federal reporting, regulatory audits, and policy implementation to meet federal, state, and local requirements. They will act as a liaison for audits, reporting, immigration support, vendor management, and HR operations consistency. • Research and monitor federal, state, and local employment laws and train regional HR teams. • Prepare and submit EEO, Veterans, and other regulatory reports. • Conduct regular audits of employment disclosures and notices throughout the employee lifecycle. • Coordinate with the EEO Officer to complete contract-specific reports. • Support immigration documentation by liaising with an external immigration law firm. • Manage vendors for anti-harassment training, background checks, drug screens, labor-law posters, and compliance software. • Address background-check and drug-screen inquiries and assist with employee-relations adjudication when needed. • Publish bi-annual updates to the Employee Handbook. • Partner with HR Operations to ensure policy and procedure consistency and compliance. • Participate in subcommittees to review and improve HR processes for efficiency and growth. • Maintain data in UKG Pro and generate reports for marketing and other teams.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, has five or more years of HR experience, and demonstrates strong auditing, project-management, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with HR compliance, reporting, and implementation is required. • Strong auditing and assessment abilities for HR programs. • Excellent project-management, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities. • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and complex issues independently. • Keen attention to detail and collaboration skills. • Competent handling of confidential information. • Effective communication, presentation, training, and facilitation skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field. • Minimum five years of relevant HR experience, including project management and procedure implementation. • Knowledge of HR regulatory and compliance environments; experience with federal contractor reporting is a plus. • Willingness to travel occasionally; office hours 7:30 am–5:30 pm Mon‑Thu, 7:30 am–11:30 am Fri.
