Custodian - Self Storage Facilities

About the Role

As a Property Care Specialist you will independently maintain the cleanliness and brand standards of multiple facility interiors and exteriors, perform general maintenance tasks such as mopping, sweeping, light bulb replacement, minor plumbing, painting, and landscaping, and conduct daily unit inspections to ensure spaces are ready to rent. Additional duties include cleaning vacated units and kiosks, disposing of debris, maintaining restrooms, moving merchandise and furniture, reporting maintenance or safety issues to management, adhering to shift schedules, and performing other assigned tasks. • Maintain interior and exterior cleanliness and brand standards across multiple locations. • Perform general maintenance: mopping, sweeping, light bulb replacement, minor plumbing, painting, landscaping. • Conduct daily storage unit inspections and ensure units are ready for rent. • Clean vacated units, kiosks, and restrooms; dispose of debris and abandoned items. • Move merchandise, office furniture, and equipment as needed. • Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and equipment failures to management. • Lift or move items up to 35 lb; walk/stand outdoors up to 50% of the time; climb stairs, ladders, and handle snow.

What You Bring

The role requires the ability to lift or move items up to 35 lb, walk or stand outdoors for up to half of the workday, climb stairs or ladders, and handle weather‑related tasks such as shoveling snow. Candidates should have prior custodial or similar experience, be comfortable working independently or in a small team, possess strong organizational and communication skills, hold a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation, and be willing to work varied days and hours, including weekends and holidays. • Adhere to shift schedule, including availability for calls, meetings, and training. • Prior custodial or similar experience preferred. • Strong organizational, communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills. • Availability to work any day between 8 am‑8 pm, including weekends and holidays, in all weather conditions.
