About the Role
KBR is hiring a Financial Analyst/Project Planning & Controls (PP&C) to support program management on mission technology projects. Working under general supervision, the analyst will manage budgeting, forecasting, variance and trend analysis, and ensure compliance with government contracting and accounting standards. The role collaborates with cross‑functional partners to maintain work breakdown structures, project budgets, cash flow, and financial reporting. • Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) for cost charging, billing and revenue recognition. • Support creation and upkeep of project budgets, baselines, funding profiles, schedules and milestones. • Calculate estimates to complete and process scope changes. • Review incurred costs and forecast future expenses using labor productivity, material price trends, subcontract agreements and risk factors. • Monitor customer invoices, unbilled balances and assist with cash‑flow reconciliations. • Track subcontractor expenditures, compare costs to budget, analyze trends and prepare monthly accruals. • Prepare financial reports and presentations for program management and stakeholders. • Document assumptions, identify risks and opportunities for corporate budgeting and forecasting. • Reconcile weekly and monthly cost/performance data, providing variance analysis and trending. • Apply standard pricing concepts and government accounting standards (FAR, CAS) to develop price and cost estimates. • Maintain financial controls, procedures and forecasting techniques to ensure compliance with government and customer requirements. • Participate in cross‑functional initiatives and process‑improvement projects while juggling multiple priorities.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field. • Minimum 2 years of progressive financial analysis and program management experience, including budgeting and forecasting. • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and standard program management concepts such as estimates to complete, variance and trend analysis. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Office suite. • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, COBRA, COGNOS, Hyperion or Power BI (preferred). • Familiarity with U.S. government reporting requirements (NASA, DOD, FEDSIM) and basic Earned Value Management System concepts (preferred).
