About the Role

• Conduct Test & Evaluation of RF systems and waveforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and alignment with Defence requirements. • Maintain and ensure serviceability of RF test equipment, supporting ongoing operational readiness. • Provide SME advice on RF systems and combat platforms, including EMI/EMC considerations, and coordinate engineering efforts across Defence stakeholders. • Support development, deployment, and improvement of RF test tools and test plans, contributing to TCNBL and broader Defence capability. • Lead operational analysis, risk‑reduction activities, and acceptance testing while upholding APS conduct, ethics, and safety standards. • Produce high‑quality technical documentation to support engineering, testing, and system assurance activities. • Meaningful work: help deliver critical Defence projects that protect Australia and shape its future. • Commitment to diversity and inclusion; encourage applications from underrepresented groups.

What You Bring

• Hold tertiary qualifications in RF Engineering. • Experience in software development and/or writing acceptance test procedures, contributing to tool development and validation workflows. • Knowledge of deployable ADF command‑and‑control systems and large‑scale virtualised environments (ESXi) for Defence‑focused engineering tasks. • Experience in data and configuration management, maintaining documentation, baselines, and controlled system changes. • Hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher security clearance; may require ITAR compliance.
