About the Role
Senior Project Managers work on a broad range of infrastructure programmes in sectors such as aviation, roads, rail, telecommunications and utilities, delivering complex projects for diverse clients. They are responsible for ensuring projects meet client objectives while adhering to contractual, financial, health, safety, quality and environmental standards. • Manage infrastructure projects/programmes across the full lifecycle, including contracts, finance, health & safety, quality and environmental controls. • Lead and develop project teams in challenging or ambiguous environments. • Build trusted advisory relationships with diverse client and partner stakeholders. • Analyse complex problems and deliver actionable solutions under pressure. • Plan, communicate and organise multiple work streams while liaising with senior client representatives. • Oversee large‑scale project teams, ensuring effective coordination and performance. • Manage contractors, consultants and advisors on infrastructure projects (beneficial).

What You Bring
The position demands strong leadership, stakeholder‑management and analytical problem‑solving skills, enabling the manager to guide teams through ambiguous or pressured environments. Effective planning, communication and organisational abilities are required to manage multiple work streams and engage senior client representatives. Beneficial experience includes aviation infrastructure, procurement and NEC contracts, contractor and consultant management, consultancy or client‑side project management, and familiarity with public‑sector bodies. Preferred qualifications are a degree or HND in a relevant discipline, professional affiliation with APM, ICE or similar, and certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP or NEC PM accreditations. • Hold experience in aviation infrastructure project management (beneficial). • Possess procurement expertise and familiarity with NEC contracts (beneficial). • Background in consultancy or client‑side project management (beneficial). • Knowledge of public‑sector organisations relevant to infrastructure (beneficial). • Earn a degree or HND in management, construction, or infrastructure‑related fields, or have equivalent experience. • Maintain professional affiliation or near‑qualified status with APM, ICE, or similar bodies. • Obtain project management certifications such as PRINCE2, MSP, or APM, and NEC PM accreditations.
