About the Role
Key responsibilities include designing, developing and verifying power distribution systems to meet demanding technical specifications, liaising with multidisciplinary engineers, presenting designs in reviews, and supporting manufacturing, testing and delivery of electrical products. The role also involves representing the project to customers, suppliers and operators and producing technical documentation such as schematics and reports. • Design and verify low‑voltage power distribution systems for naval and commercial marine applications. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and present technical specifications during design reviews. • Support manufacturing, testing and delivery of electrical products. • Represent Rolls‑Royce to customers, suppliers and operators, including occasional travel. • Produce technical documentation, schematics and reports.

What You Bring
The ideal candidate holds an electrical engineering degree (or equivalent) and possesses knowledge of both AC and DC power distribution systems, components and sub‑assemblies. They must demonstrate proactive problem‑solving, strong communication and influencing abilities, and the capability to work both independently and within a team to meet project deadlines. Desirable attributes include familiarity with marine and electrical standards (Class Society rules, IEC 61439), Chartered Engineer registration or progress towards it, and experience using AutoCAD Electrical for schematics. Applicants must be able to obtain Security Check clearance and hold UK nationality. The selection process may include online cognitive and behavioural assessments, and Rolls‑Royce will support security clearance where required.
