Inside Sales Engineer – Automated Logic

About the Role

The company is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer (Inside Sales Support Representative) to estimate building automation projects and provide sales support, with the potential to transition to an outside sales role. The role involves delivering accurate estimates, tracking estimate volume, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with the sales team on walk‑throughs, field surveys, and bid processes. The incumbent will also create scope letters, review specifications, document proposals, and use sales tools such as CRM and estimating software. • Provide accurate cost estimates for building automation projects. • Track quantity and dollar volume of estimates to meet project deadlines. • Assist sales team with estimates, walk‑throughs, field surveys, and bid processes. • Create scope letters and review specifications and control schematics. • Document proposals clearly and support quotes and specification deviations. • Utilize CRM, estimating software, and other sales tools effectively. • Collaborate with internal staff to deliver quality results. • Develop sales skills through training and time‑management strategies.

What You Bring

Candidates should have an associate’s degree plus at least two years of building‑automation experience, or a bachelor’s degree completed by 2026, and a valid driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s in mechanical/electrical engineering, business or accounting, three or more years of sales, building‑automation, HVAC or controls experience, strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency with CRM and estimating software. The role requires detail‑orientation, self‑motivation, the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, and strong relationship‑building capabilities. • Hold an associate’s degree with 2+ years building‑automation experience or a bachelor’s degree by 2026. • Possess 3+ years experience in sales, building automation, HVAC, or controls (preferred).
