About the Role
• Install HVAC equipment such as air handler drains, split‑system piping, overhead duct hangers, and ductwork. • Install refrigeration equipment including display case drains, walk‑in box drains, overhead hangers, and piping. • Use power and hand tools, powered vehicles, machinery, and PPE in accordance with company and contract policies. • Escalate safety or quality concerns promptly to senior technicians or project managers. • Maintain clean and professional job sites, storing or removing spare and waste materials. • Assist senior technicians with their assignments. • Install all types of piping, including PVC, copper (brazing), and copper line sets. • Apply knowledge of job‑site safety and safe work practices. • Perform basic math calculations and measurements accurately. • Maintain a clean driving record.

What You Bring
The HVAC/Refrigeration Apprentice supports installation teams by completing tasks safely, promptly, and accurately while adhering to customer specifications, building codes, and proper piping practices. Responsibilities include installing equipment, using power and hand tools, maintaining clean job sites, assisting senior technicians, and escalating any safety or quality concerns to senior staff. Candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade or technical program, with preferred experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related trade. Required abilities include operating a scissor lift or forklift, knowledge of job‑site safety, proficiency with basic tools, punctuality, dependability, and the capacity to work in varied conditions and perform basic mathematical calculations. • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or completion of a trade/technical program. • Preferably have experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or a related trade. • Be able to operate a scissor lift or forklift (preferred). • Proficient with basic power and hand tools, drills, fuel‑gas tools, electrical meters, and measurement devices. • Demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and ability to work in varied conditions (ladders, outdoor temperatures, noisy environments). • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally. • Work effectively in a team and follow senior technicians’ instructions. • Understand and adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
