About the Role

The position is a fixed‑location fire‑extinguisher service technician role with no travel required. The incumbent will be responsible for servicing and maintaining fire extinguishers, ensuring the work area remains organized and clean, and adhering to professional standards while on the job. Daily tasks include recharging, testing, and performing six‑ and twelve‑year inspections on extinguishers, completing the necessary documentation and inspection tags, and conducting preventative maintenance on shop test equipment. The employee will also use hand tools, lift up to 50 lb, wear required personal protective equipment, and attend periodic business meetings to support company growth. • Service and maintain fire extinguishers, including recharging, testing, and six‑ and twelve‑year inspections • Complete and file required service reports, inspection tags, and paperwork • Perform routine preventative maintenance on extinguisher shop test equipment • Keep work area organized, clean, and maintain professional appearance • Participate in Johnson Controls business meetings and contribute to company growth • Use hand tools safely and lift/carry up to 50 lb; wear required PPE
