About the Role

The Installation & Commissioning Engineer will work across the EMEA region on large data‑center projects, handling installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and product repairs. The role provides high‑level technical support to the extended EMEA Service community. The engineer will deliver the highest level of technical expertise in hyperscale commissioning activities and will train local Field Service Engineers. They will also act as the primary technical contact for key account escalations, conducting site visits and driving issues to resolution. Close collaboration with Project Managers is required to advise on commissioning considerations, assist in selecting suitable engineers, and perform site assessments as needed. Support for high‑profile clients through technical advice and site visits is also part of the role. The role maintains direct links with business units (HPO) and serves as the focal point for all technical exchanges related to commissioning procedures and testing. Management of subcontractor teams and other ad‑hoc duties may be assigned. • Install, commission, maintain, and repair UPS systems in large EMEA data‑center projects. • Provide high‑level technical support to the EMEA Service community and key accounts. • Deliver hyperscale commissioning expertise and train local Field Service Engineers. • Manage technical escalations, conduct site visits, and ensure issue resolution. • Collaborate with Project Managers on commissioning planning and engineer selection. • Support high‑profile clients and act as focal point for commissioning procedures. • Lead subcontractor teams and perform ad‑hoc duties as required.

What You Bring

The position is location‑agnostic within EMEA, with an expectation to travel up to 50 % of the time to client sites. Flexibility to work in diverse environments is essential. Candidates must have an electrical installation background, 5‑10 years of UPS experience and at least 5 years in data‑center field work, with essential three‑phase electrical installation and commissioning expertise. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP), PLC programming, and power distribution is advantageous. Strong communication skills, customer focus, flexibility, and the ability to work with different cultures and follow instructions are required. • Travel up to 50 % across the EMEA region, performing on‑site work as needed. • Required: 5‑10 years UPS experience, 5 years data‑center field work, three‑phase installation/commissioning. • Advantageous: knowledge of Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP; PLC programming; switch panel and power distribution expertise. • Demonstrate strong communication, customer focus, flexibility, and cultural adaptability.
