About the Role

The role is a technical resource for environmental management and monitoring plans (EMMP), environmental baseline surveys (EBS), and environmental impact assessments (EIA) on terrestrial projects. Responsibilities include designing specifications, defining monitoring indicators, coordinating field activities, analyzing data, and reporting results to stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with permits and regulations. The position also contributes to adaptive management strategies, integrates innovative monitoring technologies, and supports budgeting and scheduling for environmental deliverables. • Design and update EMMP technical specifications for terrestrial projects in line with regulations. • Define monitoring indicators, methodologies, and reporting frameworks. • Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables. • Coordinate and execute field monitoring of soil, vegetation, wildlife, habitat, water quality, air quality, and noise. • Ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and stakeholder reporting. • Monitor compliance with environmental standards, permits, and legal obligations. • Analyze monitoring results and recommend mitigation measures to reduce impacts. • Liaise with regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders. • Prepare and present environmental performance reports. • Contribute to adaptive management strategies based on monitoring data. • Research and integrate best practices and innovative monitoring technologies. • Develop study and design procedures to support cost‑effective work. • Estimate costs for EMMP, EBS, and EIA projects and aid budget and schedule planning.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, environmental engineering or related field. • Minimum five years of experience in environmental management, monitoring, and compliance for terrestrial projects. • Proficiency with soil, water, air, noise, and biodiversity monitoring techniques. • Familiarity with EIA, EMMP, and EBS processes. • Ability to use data analysis tools such as Excel, GIS, or statistical software. • Experience coordinating interdisciplinary teams and field activities. • Skills in budgeting and cost estimation for environmental projects. • Strong field survey and sampling protocol experience.
