About the Role
• Support and manage cost control for multi‑phase data centre construction projects. • Develop and maintain cost plans, estimates, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts aligned with scope and timelines. • Monitor cost performance, track actuals versus forecasts and report variances. • Review and validate change orders and payment applications for compliance and cost justification. • Assist procurement, bid analysis, vendor pre‑qualification and contractor negotiations; prepare bid‑leveling documents. • Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts and executive‑level dashboards for client updates. • Track contingencies, commitments and cost impacts across packages, contributing to value engineering initiatives. • Support risk analysis and maintain commercial risk registers for cost‑related impacts. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, build stakeholder relationships and participate in governance meetings. • Implement and improve cost‑management tools, templates and reporting standards; ensure SOX control compliance where applicable. • Manage final accounting, post‑contract audits and lessons‑learned reviews to drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to act as the day‑to‑day client interface on a large‑scale, mission‑critical data centre program. The position is responsible for delivering a value‑added cost‑management service that ensures the project is completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards, with a strong focus on governance, commercial rigor and stakeholder engagement. The role offers a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week onsite in Maiden, NC and two days remote, and expects the incumbent to work both independently and collaboratively while embodying the company’s purpose, values and vision. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field (graduate degree preferred). • 3–6 years of cost management or project controls experience in construction, preferably data centres or high‑tech projects. • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred. • Strong knowledge of cost management processes, change order review, cash‑flow forecasting and reporting. • Familiarity with procurement strategies, commercial contract management and value engineering. • RICS accreditation or progress toward certification is a plus. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications; MEP systems knowledge beneficial. • Proficiency with cost management software and advanced Excel/data analysis skills. • Excellent communication, organization and stakeholder management abilities.
