About the Role

The Shop Foreman supervises employees who repair and maintain rental equipment, coordinates the Service Department’s workload for efficiency, and ensures quality repairs. The role involves directing technicians and yard staff, scheduling service and maintenance, and collaborating across departments to deliver seamless customer service. • Instruct, assist and train service technicians in best practices of equipment repair and safety • Perform inspections of completed repairs to ensure thorough and quality of work performed • Work in cooperation with other areas to provide quality, seamless customer service • Direct service technicians and yard staff in daily operations • Schedule service and maintenance of equipment in the workshop or customer job site, coordinating breakdown responses with road technicians • Monitor all equipment to ensure repairs are properly designated to the correct account • Assist the Profit Center Manager in training employees, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving conflicts

What You Bring

Successful candidates will have a trade school or college degree (preferred), a valid driver’s license, prior supervisory experience, and at least five years of mechanical experience in the rental or a similar industry. Strong customer‑relation skills, basic computer proficiency, knowledge of methods and tools for equipment repair, and a solid safety record are required. • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes • Trade school or college degree (bachelor or associate) preferred • Valid driver’s license • Previous supervisory experience • 5+ years of mechanical experience within the rental industry or similar • Proven customer relations and communication skills • Basic computer proficiency for data entry • Knowledge of methods, materials, and tools required to repair and maintain rental equipment • Proven safety record
