About the Role
CPS delivers uninterrupted power through advanced UPS systems, batteries, and power distribution solutions for demanding environments. As a Field Service Electronics Technician you will perform on‑site emergency repairs, start‑up services, and preventative maintenance to keep mission‑critical facilities operating at peak reliability. • Provide on‑site emergency repairs, start‑up services, and preventative maintenance for critical power equipment. • Travel daily to customer sites in the greater Indianapolis area using a company‑provided vehicle; support out‑of‑region customers ≥3 weeks per quarter. • Follow strict safety protocols, including OSHA and NFPA 70E training, and perform physical tasks such as lifting 50 lb+ and climbing. • Collaborate with other Field Service Technicians and take direction from on‑site leads. • Receive a company vehicle, laptop, hand tools, AMEX card, meters, and smartphone for field work.

What You Bring
Basic qualifications are a high school diploma or GED, at least three years of experience with power systems, battery technologies or electronics, and a valid unrestricted state driver’s license. Candidates must pass background and drug screenings, be able to lift 50 lb+, travel daily across the greater Indianapolis area, and be willing to support customers outside the immediate region for a minimum of three weeks per quarter. Preferred qualifications include an associate’s degree in electrical or electronics, enrollment in a bachelor’s engineering program, an electrical technology certificate, and the ability to read schematics and apply troubleshooting, testing, and repair techniques. A strong understanding of electrical theory, battery systems, and single‑ and three‑phase circuits, as well as strict adherence to safety rules and teamwork with other field technicians, are also valued. • Require a high school diploma/GED, 3+ years of power systems or electronics experience, and a valid unrestricted driver’s license. • Must pass background checks, drug screening, and meet physical ability requirements. • Preferred: associate’s degree or electrical technology certificate, ability to read schematics, strong knowledge of electrical theory, battery systems, and single/three‑phase circuits.

The position offers a salary range of $69,000 to $101,000 per year and is eligible for overtime. Compensation is adjusted based on skills, experience, and market considerations.
