Senior Diesel Mechanic 2nd Shift - $1500 Sign On Bonus

About the Role

You will work a consistent Monday‑through‑Friday schedule on the second shift (12:00 pm to 8:30 pm) with no weekend requirements. The primary work site is the repair and maintenance shop at our Liverpool, NY hauling location. Each day you will service the trucks and equipment that support over 20 million customers across the United States. Using modern tools and procedures, you will maintain both diesel‑powered and, at select locations, CNG‑powered vehicles, ensuring reliable service to local communities. • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on diesel and CNG vehicles • Estimate time and material costs for repairs and new parts • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs) and respond to emergency breakdown calls • Conduct vehicle safety checks and complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and labor • Review, complete or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate and OSHA standards

What You Bring

The role requires frequent physical effort such as lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing, and constant standing and walking, as well as exposure to cuts, burns, chemicals, noise, odors and extreme weather. Work is performed both inside the garage/shop and outdoors in various weather conditions while adhering to OSHA and corporate safety standards. • Stable Monday‑Friday second‑shift hours (12:00 pm–8:30 pm) with no weekends • Minimum 4 years of relevant diesel/CNG mechanic experience • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record • Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States • Ability to meet physical demands (lifting, standing, climbing, etc.) • Pass pre‑employment drug screening and physical examination • Effective both independently and collaboratively • Strong determination and problem‑solving skills • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, climbing; constant standing, walking, grasping • Exposure to cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, noise, odors and extreme weather conditions • Work performed in both indoor garage/shop environments and outdoor settings
