About the Role

Cleaners are responsible for daily cleaning tasks to keep the store safe and spotless, including operating machinery, mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping, cleaning toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, oven canopies, and maintaining external trolley bays free of leaves and debris. All health and safety procedures must be followed, and Arcus provides full training. • Clean store interiors (mopping, vacuuming, wiping, sweeping) to maintain high standards. • Operate cleaning machinery safely. • Clean toilets, surfaces, ceilings, windows, and oven canopies as needed. • Maintain external trolley bays and surrounding areas free of leaves and debris. • Follow all health and safety procedures. • Provide a smartphone with NFC for the Arcus Connect attendance app. • Work flexible shift patterns, including early mornings and weekends.

Arcus is recruiting a part‑time In‑Store Cleaner for the Whitstable store on a fixed‑term contract until March 2026, offering 20 hours per week at £12.21 per hour with an immediate start. The role follows a flexible shift pattern, with early morning, morning, afternoon and evening shifts across the week. Current scheduled hours are Sunday 08:00‑12:30, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 06:00‑09:00, Saturday 14:30‑18:00, and Wednesday off, with overtime opportunities to increase hours.
