About the Role
The Benefits Manager owns the execution and operational excellence of employee benefit programs across the United States and Canada, ensuring they are compliant, cost‑effective, well‑governed, and aligned with business and workforce needs within the multi‑site Building Technologies organization. The role involves daily administration, open enrollment oversight, compliance monitoring, vendor management, budgeting, and employee issue resolution. It also serves as a key liaison for HR Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, and Business Leaders to support workforce continuity. • Manage day‑to‑day administration of U.S. and Canada health, welfare, and retirement benefits programs • Oversee annual open enrollment, benefits training, and employee communications • Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations, including ERISA, ACA, and provincial standards • Manage vendor relationships with carriers, administrators, and brokers • Establish and monitor service‑level agreements, case quality metrics, and compliance controls • Control benefits budgets, forecasting, and cost‑containment initiatives • Resolve employee escalations and complex benefit issues • Implement program changes and present recommendations to leadership • Maintain plan documentation and communications for employees and managers • Serve as primary contact for HRBPs, Payroll, Legal, and Business Leaders • Lead vendor strategy, RFPs, contract negotiations, and performance management • Sit, stand, and walk in office environments and construction sites • Work in clean, orderly, well‑lit, ventilated offices with low to moderate noise • Be on‑site with customers or contractors; sites range from offices to new construction • Drive to customer sites as required

What You Bring
The position requires effective English communication, manual dexterity for occasional lifting of light objects, and the ability to sit, stand, and walk in office and construction environments. Employees may need to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights over 1.8 meters. Working conditions include clean, well‑lit offices, on‑site visits with customers or contractors, required driving to sites, and occasional limited overnight travel. • 5 years of benefits administration experience • Strong compliance, vendor management, and stakeholder leadership skills • In‑depth knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations • Experience managing vendor and benefit programs • Bachelor’s degree or CEBS/CBP certification required • 8+ years of progressive benefits experience covering U.S. and Canada • Communicate effectively in English (see, hear, speak, write) • Manual dexterity for occasional reaching, lifting light objects, and operating equipment • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and work at heights over 1.8 m (6 ft)
