About the Role
The position oversees the continuous flow of materials required for production, working closely with operations and engineering teams, and serves as the primary contact for its assigned commodities. If you are not the right fit now, you can express interest in future opportunities by clicking “Get Started” or creating an account to set up email alerts for new job postings. • Plan and drive strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities with cross‑functional teams. • Identify material cost‑saving opportunities aligned with corporate financial targets. • Collaborate with global supply teams to screen, qualify, and select strategic suppliers. • Lead problem‑solving initiatives and continuous improvement projects. • Manage request‑for‑proposal (RFP) processes, including supplier screening and selection. • Negotiate and administer supplier contracts covering terms, pricing, freight, currency, and inventory levels. • Analyze market conditions to forecast supply availability and demand. • Provide coaching and support to junior buyers on commodity‑related issues. • Ensure compliance with corporate safety, quality, and trade regulations. • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commodities.

What You Bring
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, have at least seven years of procurement experience with demonstrated results, and be proficient with ERP/MRP systems (SAP considered an asset). Strong inventory control, Microsoft Office skills, and effective English communication are required, as is legal authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship. • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. • Possess 7+ years of procurement experience with proven results. • Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP systems; SAP experience is a plus. • Strong background in inventory control. • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). • Effective English communication skills. • Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities. • Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills. • Able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Benefits
The salary range for this role is $90,000–$110,000 CAD, with the final amount depending on factors such as location, skill set, experience, education, and internal compensation comparisons.
