About the Role
• Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and measure dimensions. • Perform concrete and rough carpentry (hand set walls, footings, gang wall forms, structural concrete decks, slabs, columns, drywall). • Set door frames, hang doors, and install hardware. • Complete finish carpentry tasks (toilet accessories, handrails, corner guards, partitions, lockers, cabinets, countertops, wall paneling, coffered ceilings, running trim). • Build relationships with individuals of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.

What You Bring
Mortenson is seeking a Carpenter who will provide skilled craftsmanship for the installation of formwork, finish carpentry, and drywall. The position description is not exhaustive; duties may change without notice, and visa sponsorship is not offered. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, and the company does not accept unsolicited agency solicitations. • High school diploma or GED. • Completion of apprenticeship program. • Union specific training. • Ability to work with precision, visualize solid objects from drawings, read plans, and operate equipment (table saws, radial arm saws, belt & disc sanders, drill presses, fall protection equipment, rigging, and form systems). • Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, detail orientation, and effective communication including active listening and openness to diverse input and feedback. • Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements. • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs (with assistance for loads over 50 lbs).
