About the Role

The company is seeking a senior‑level Principal (Senior Staff) Product Designer who will use design strategically to shape product strategy and ensure consistent, compelling experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile SaaS touchpoints. The role involves identifying, proposing, and leading transformation projects, navigating uncertainty, and balancing business requirements, customer needs, and innovative concepts while mentoring fellow designers. In this role you will drive company‑wide design initiatives, partner with the VP of Design and cross‑functional leadership, and champion user‑centered outcomes across the platform. You will also mentor designers and help shape the evolving design strategy. • Develop deep expertise across the entire platform and own design‑driven projects. • Collaborate with the VP of Design to prioritize work that drives customer success. • Partner with product owners and developers to create clear, compelling interfaces aligned with user stories. • Rapidly prototype visual and interaction solutions and advocate for “North Star” projects. • Conduct user research and generate insights to inform product design and measurable outcomes. • Validate ideas through experimental design and research methods. • Foster empathy for users throughout the organization. • Invent and institutionalize reusable interaction patterns and systems. • Uphold high craftsmanship standards and align design methodology with business expectations. • Influence product strategy and work closely with R&D leadership and General Managers. • Champion emerging design, innovation, and interaction trends. • Select new design tools and processes for the team. • Mentor designers, building context, decision‑making skills, and user empathy. • Coordinate across ServiceTitan to focus key customer journeys and champion company‑wide initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record designing modern SaaS or enterprise platforms, a portfolio that demonstrates impactful customer experiences, and strong interaction and visual design skills. They excel at organization, stakeholder collaboration, storytelling, and applying design‑thinking to drive customer‑centered outcomes.
