About the Role
The Service Technician will receive service calls, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and perform repairs on electronic fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. Responsibilities include reading blueprints and manuals, following prescribed troubleshooting procedures, and ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and proper documentation. • Receive and assess service calls from the Service Resource Center. • Contact customers to identify equipment or system issues. • Diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm and related building systems on site. • Follow troubleshooting procedures using technical manuals and bulletins. • Service, troubleshoot, and install various manufacturers’ fire and life‑safety systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and product manuals. • Communicate consistently with staff and customers to ensure satisfaction. • Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via smartphones or laptops. • Obtain customer signatures after service completion. • Participate in scheduled on‑call rotations. • Train and mentor fellow service team members. • Maintain flexible schedule, including weekends and possible overnight travel.

What You Bring
Candidates must have at least ten years of documented experience in low‑voltage electrical systems, a valid fire alarm license, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals. Physical requirements include lifting up to 70 lb and working in confined or elevated spaces, while a flexible schedule—including weekends and on‑call rotations—and a valid driver’s license are essential. • Possess 10+ years experience in low‑voltage electrical and fire/life‑safety systems. • Hold a valid fire alarm license and ability to read technical documents. • Demonstrate physical ability to lift 50‑70 lb and work in confined spaces up to 40 ft. • Hold a valid driver’s license meeting company standards and pass background/drug tests. • Preferred NICET Level II certification.
