About the Role
The Technician III – Stationary is tasked with operating and maintaining the facility’s mechanical and supporting systems. This includes conducting structured inspections, performing both preventative and corrective maintenance, and ensuring that all work follows established processes and complies with environmental, health, safety, and fire‑protection requirements. Key responsibilities involve troubleshooting equipment, monitoring system conditions, and managing the full work‑order lifecycle from dispatch to resolution. The technician performs regular walkthroughs, responds to routine and emergency service requests, and supports the implementation of a preventative maintenance program to uphold facility uptime and asset integrity. The role also emphasizes client satisfaction, requiring professional service delivery and positive tenant interactions. Administrative duties include participation in facility projects, adherence to corporate and legislative policies, tool maintenance, and timely submission of expenditures. • Conduct inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and supporting systems. • Diagnose equipment issues, document deficiencies, and recommend repairs or enhancements. • Manage work orders through completion and log resolutions in the maintenance management database. • Perform facility walkthroughs to monitor mechanical, electrical, and other equipment. • Respond to routine and emergency service requests to ensure uninterrupted client operations. • Support implementation of the preventative maintenance program and track identified deficiencies. • Deliver quality service to enhance tenant satisfaction and maintain positive client relations. • Participate in facility projects and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and fire protection policies. • Maintain tools, arrange for repairs/replacements, and submit timely expenditure reports. • Mentor lower‑level technicians in troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a high‑school diploma with trades training or certification, possess at least five years of critical‑facility maintenance experience, and demonstrate strong knowledge of HVAC, building automation, and electrical systems. A safety‑focused mindset, ability to work shifts and on‑call, effective communication, and eligibility for security clearance are essential. This full‑time position offers an hourly wage of $30.26 to $37.82, based on experience and qualifications. • High school diploma with trades training/certification; Building Operator Certification minimum, Red Seal license an asset. • At least 5 years’ experience maintaining HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, or related systems in a critical facility. • Strong knowledge of Building Automation Systems, electrical components (UPS, ATS, generators) and HVAC systems. • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and building systems. • Commitment to EHS standards, ability to work shifts, on‑call, and emergency call‑outs, and to wear required PPE. • Effective communication skills for data exchange and client interaction. • Eligibility for appropriate security clearance.
