About the Role

The Commercial Finance function works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to assess new business prospects, pricing models, and customer agreements. It provides analytical support for deal structuring, including bid modeling and margin simulations, while continuously monitoring profitability at both customer and product levels. Together with FP&A, the team creates commercial KPIs and dashboards to track growth, retention, and return on investment. In the area of contract governance and risk management, the role oversees the financial components of long‑term contracts, service‑level agreements, and major tenders to ensure terms are financially sound, legally compliant, and appropriately risk‑adjusted. Ongoing monitoring of contractual compliance is performed, with any potential exposures escalated promptly. The position also collaborates with sales and GSC teams to manage credit risk and collections. Performance management responsibilities include leading monthly reviews of revenue, margin, and pipeline against targets alongside vertical CFOs, and delivering insights on sales‑funnel conversion, pricing discipline, and promotional return on investment. The role supports working‑capital efficiency by aligning payment terms, credit policies, and pricing strategies, and ensures timely reconciliation of customer accounts to maintain optimal days sales outstanding and avoid bad‑debt provisions. Strategic support activities involve evaluating channel profitability and market‑entry economics to shape go‑to‑market strategies, as well as assisting with M&A and partnership assessments from a commercial perspective. The function also partners on new product launches, confirming financial viability and tracking performance after market introduction. Leadership and systems duties encompass building and mentoring a commercial finance team that partners closely with business units, while promoting the use of business intelligence tools, ERP data, and analytics to enhance decision‑making. The role fosters a culture of financial accountability, commercial discipline, integrity, and continuous improvement across the organization. • Evaluate new business opportunities, pricing structures, and customer contracts with Sales, Marketing, and Operations. • Create bid models, margin simulations, and scenario analyses to shape deals. • Monitor customer‑level and product‑level profitability and initiate corrective actions. • Develop commercial KPIs and dashboards with FP&A to measure growth, retention, and ROI. • Oversee financial aspects of long‑term contracts, SLAs, and large tenders for sound, compliant terms. • Track contractual compliance and escalate potential exposures. • Manage credit risk and collections in partnership with sales and GSC teams. • Lead monthly revenue, margin, and pipeline performance reviews with vertical CFOs. • Provide insights on sales‑funnel conversion, pricing discipline, and promotional ROI. • Align payment terms, credit policies, and pricing strategy to improve working‑capital efficiency. • Reconcile overdue customer accounts to prevent bad‑debt provisioning and achieve target DSO. • Assess channel profitability and market‑entry economics to inform go‑to‑market strategies. • Support M&A and partnership evaluations from a commercial and market perspective. • Partner on new product launches to ensure financial viability and track post‑launch performance. • Lead and develop a commercial finance team that partners closely with business units. • Champion the use of BI tools, ERP data, and analytics for sharper decision‑making. • Build a culture of financial accountability, commercial discipline, integrity, and continuous improvement.
