About the Role

The program immerses trainees in HVAC solutions, leadership development, and relationship building, preparing them to partner with architects, engineers, and building owners to create smarter, greener buildings while advancing as subject‑matter experts. Trainees will work to increase market share by strategically selling Johnson Controls’ HVAC products and services to commercial customers, applying engineering knowledge and business acumen to understand and meet client needs. Key duties include estimating job bids, preparing proposals, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, conducting sales calls, presenting solutions, gathering market intelligence, and transitioning projects to the operations team for execution. • Mentorship and support network of sales professionals • Increase market share by selling HVAC products to commercial clients • Consult with architects, engineers, and building owners on product selections • Estimate bids and prepare proposals with contractors and owners • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for project execution • Conduct sales calls to generate new business and nurture relationships • Present technical solutions and collect market intelligence • Transition completed projects to operations for installation

What You Bring

Candidates must be pursuing an engineering bachelor’s degree, graduating between December 2024 and June 2026, and possess strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, as well as U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Mechanical or industrial engineering majors and prior sales or engineering experience are preferred. • Currently pursuing an Engineering bachelor's degree (graduating Dec 2024–Jun 2026) • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred • Previous sales or engineering experience (co‑ops, internships, etc.)
