About the Role

In this role you will provide general labor for aerial and underground construction projects, handling tasks such as trench digging, material unloading, and site preparation. You will also assist with fiber‑blowing operations, conduit placement, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting of RF and fiber lines under the direction of a foreman or supervisor. • Dig trenches and prepare job sites using hand tools. • Unload building materials and move equipment as directed. • Perform fiber‑blowing operations and assist with fiber optic cable installation. • Place conduit and support trench digging and closing tasks. • Read maps, drawings, and design schematics for project execution. • Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including line trucks and bucket trucks. • Tow trailers with flatbed trucks and handle aerial/underground work as trained. • Troubleshoot and repair RF and fiber line issues. • Construct and repair underground RF and fiber services. • Learn and become certified on specialized equipment (e.g., cable reels, saws, drills). • Climb poles safely using climbing equipment. • Relocate RF and fiber services as needed. • Follow NESC safety guidelines for all tasks.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate prioritizes safety, has a clean driving record and a valid license, and can lift up to 70 lb. You should be comfortable reading maps and design schematics, possess climbing certification or related experience, and have practical knowledge of overhead RF and fiber construction, network architecture, and relevant code requirements. • Demonstrate a strong safety mindset and high‑quality workmanship. • Possess problem‑solving abilities and a hands‑on approach. • Maintain a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license. • Be physically able to lift and carry up to 70 lb. • Hold climbing certification or related experience. • Have practical experience in overhead RF and fiber construction. • Know overhead bill of materials, clearance codes, and network architecture. • Certified flagger for field work when required. • Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. • Adapt to fast‑paced, high‑volume work environments.
