About the Role
Step into a pivotal role on our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance contract as an Estimator. You’ll play a key part in shaping winning tender submissions—delivering accurate, competitive estimates to Transport for NSW and third‑party clients, and directly contributing to Ventia’s continued success. Key Accountabilities include preparing and submitting cost estimates for clients ranging from high‑level concepts to detailed IFC‑based estimates, obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations, presenting estimates for management review, and participating in project risk reviews. Additional duties involve providing estimate handover to delivery teams, coordinating document control in SharePoint, collaborating with stakeholders across commercial, delivery, planning, development, and asset management functions, applying Ventia commercial policies, and performing other tasks as directed by the Business & Risk Manager. • Prepare and submit cost estimates from concept to detailed IFC‑based levels for fixed‑price tenders. • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. • Present estimates for management review and engage in project risk reviews. • Hand over estimates and debrief delivery teams upon award. • Coordinate document control in SharePoint and maintain relevant registers. • Collaborate with commercial, delivery, planning, development, and asset‑management stakeholders. • Apply Ventia commercial policies and partake in performance reviews.

What You Bring
Could you be our next Estimator? We require a relevant qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline, proven experience as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor, and demonstrated ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. A current driver’s licence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, high self‑motivation, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment are essential, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. • Hold a relevant qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. • Demonstrated experience preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions. • Possess a current driver’s licence. • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills with high self‑motivation. • Maintain excellent attention to detail and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
