About the Role
The Driver – CDL (B) safely operates a collection truck to provide prompt, courteous waste removal services. The driver also ensures the vehicle meets company safety standards, complies with all regulations, and completes daily vehicle condition reports. Key duties include conducting thorough pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, following assigned routes and service sheets, operating the truck’s manual or automatic controls to lift, load and compact refuse, and interacting professionally with customers and dispatchers. Drivers must monitor waste for prohibited items, tag damaged containers, clean spills, and keep the vehicle clean to minimize downtime. • Perform pre‑ and post‑operation vehicle inspections and report safety issues. • Safely operate the collection truck along assigned routes, loading and compacting waste. • Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and coworkers. • Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers. • Monitor waste for prohibited items and clean accidental spills per safety standards. • Keep the vehicle clean and ready by removing waste from packer blade and truck body. • Complete route sheets, productivity logs, VCRs and other required reports. • Meet department productivity standards and follow all safety policies, including the ReSOP program.

What You Bring
Applicants must hold a Class B (or higher) Commercial Driver’s License with an air‑brake endorsement. Strong customer service, time‑management, and adherence to safety policies are essential. • Demonstrate reliable time management, follow‑through and professional conduct.
