About the Role

The Materials Manager is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of materials that support QISG’s construction, installation, and engineering activities. This includes controlling, receiving, storing, and distributing materials to meet project requirements while collaborating with procurement, logistics, vendors, and on‑site contractors. • Develop and oversee client‑specific material management practices. • Maintain accurate material control systems for tracking, receipt, storage, and distribution. • Identify and resolve material‑control issues, implementing process improvements. • Expedite material deliveries and coordinate with vendors for urgent requests. • Collaborate with procurement to align material schedules with construction timelines. • Conduct material take‑offs and work with engineering and project teams to define material needs. • Manage lead times, order‑by dates, and decision points within project schedules. • Oversee vendor shipments to ensure timely logistics and delivery. • Monitor changes in material requirements and adjust requisitions accordingly. • Prepare and execute Materials Management Execution Plans. • Coordinate with site teams to deliver correct quantities on schedule. • Design warehouse and lay‑down yard layouts to maximize space and safety. • Ensure safe handling, storage, and compliance with specifications for all inventory. • Supervise receiving, counting, and inspection of materials, addressing discrepancies promptly. • Resolve material‑related queries by liaising among project managers, engineers, suppliers, and construction staff. • Plan and execute phase bundling, staging, and kitting to streamline construction. • Perform on‑site material audits to verify inventory accuracy. • Input and maintain real‑time inventory data in the management system. • Supervise off‑loading and storage of materials on site. • Conduct project closeout for materials, purchase orders, and excess material disposition. • Serve as liaison to resolve material issues among stakeholders. • Follow internal standards, policies, and procedures.

What You Bring

Candidates must have at least four years of materials‑management experience, a thorough understanding of receiving, inspection, storage, inventory, and issuance processes, and strong Microsoft Office skills. A bachelor’s degree in construction, supply chain, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience—is preferred, along with two years of EPC project exposure, proficiency in material‑control systems, and experience with J.D. Edwards ERP.
