Sr. BIM/CAD Technician - Road & Highways

About the Role

• Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for highway projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and BIM platforms. • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate representation of design intent. • Prepare cross‑sections, profiles, plans, and construction‑ready drawings. • Ensure deliverables comply with Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and DEWA standards. • Participate in internal design reviews and provide technical input on drafting and modeling issues. • Maintain drawing documentation, version control, and adherence to company CAD/BIM standards. • Support clash detection and model coordination with other disciplines. • Assist in improving BIM/CAD workflows, templates, and quality procedures. • Apply solid understanding of drafting principles, detailing, and technical drawing standards. • Work with large‑scale utility networks such as stormwater, sewer, irrigation, and electrical systems. • Translate engineering sketches and markups into accurate drawings with high attention to detail.

What You Bring

• Bring at least 10 years of BIM/CAD drafting experience on highway engineering projects. • Demonstrate strong proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation. • Possess working knowledge of BIM tools and digital project delivery workflows. • Experience using Navisworks or comparable software for clash detection. • Understand multidisciplinary coordination for utilities, bridges, and infrastructure. • Familiarity with ISO standards for digital project delivery.
