What You Bring
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by an apprenticeship or trade school program, and 5–8 years of field experience as a Combination Welder in commercial, government, or large‑scale construction settings. Required certifications include CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30‑hour; testing for 6G GTAW and SMAW is mandatory prior to hire. RQ Construction is an equal‑opportunity employer and all applicants must provide proof of identity, U.S. work authorization, and successfully pass drug screening and DoD‑level background checks before accessing the military base. • Pass groove‑weld qualification tests in all positions for multiple materials using SMAW and GTAW. • Maintain 5–8 years of Combination Welder experience in commercial or governmental projects. • Hold a high school diploma or GED, plus apprenticeship or trade school training. • Pass 6G GTAW and SMAW qualification tests before employment. • Obtain CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30‑hour certifications (training provided if needed). • Gain additional training or certification in trenching, fall protection, confined space, forklift/manlift, power actuated tools, lockout/tagout, scissor lift/boom lift, or EM‑385.

Positions are on‑site at the military base and are compensated at the Davis‑Bacon prevailing wage, ranging from $45.15 to $50.00 per hour, and include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and one week of vacation and sick time.
