About the Role
The technician will perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools, troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems, and respond to basic warranty calls. They will also load system-level controller software and conduct basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators. All commissioning activities will be documented, and the technician will keep management, the JCI contractor, or the customer informed of job progress and any issues. Additional duties include calibrating systems with basic electronic test equipment, completing administrative tasks like timesheets and expense reports, documenting changes for as‑built records, and communicating with the contractor or customer upon arrival and departure. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards and participation in required safety training to protect employees and subcontractors. • Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools and load controller software. • Troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control issues and respond to warranty calls. • Conduct diagnostics on controllers, sensors, and actuators and complete commissioning documentation. • Calibrate systems with electronic test equipment and maintain accurate as‑built records. • Communicate job progress to management, contractors, and customers while ensuring safety compliance. • Provide effective communication and listening; meet any required low‑voltage licensing standards.

What You Bring
Candidates must demonstrate technical aptitude, be able to use hand and power tools, and possess basic computer skills. Attention to detail, effective communication and listening abilities, and awareness of any location‑specific licensing requirements for low‑voltage devices are essential.
