About the Role

Primary responsibilities include serving as a technical resource on traffic and planning projects, preparing signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting, temporary traffic control, and intelligent transportation system plans, performing detailed plan checks, and collaborating with junior staff and technicians. The role also supports Project Managers with fee proposals, provides direction to internal teams, ensures on‑time delivery to clients, and monitors project finances, while assisting regional offices in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio on similar traffic design assignments. • Serve as technical resource on traffic design projects, preparing signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting, temporary traffic control, and ITS plans. • Perform detailed plan checks and mentor junior staff and technicians. • Support Project Managers with fee proposals, team direction, on‑time client delivery, and financial monitoring. • Assist regional offices in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio on traffic design projects. • Conduct traffic, operational, and safety analyses using HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, Aimsun, and Highway Safety Software.

What You Bring

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least 8 years of traffic design experience. • Possess a PE license in Pennsylvania or Ohio. • Know PennDOT, PTC, and ODOT standards and specifications. • Proficient in SignCAD, ORD, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Guide Sign, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to multitask.
