About the Role
The Apprentice Engineer assists with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs across commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment at assigned properties. The role supports a wide range of equipment and systems to ensure continued functionality. Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing building systems such as plumbing, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and packaging machinery, as well as cleaning, lubricating, and servicing pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. The apprentice also assists with installation and modification of equipment, replaces building finishes, performs carpentry and snow removal, maintains fire alarm and pump systems, and conducts safety inspections. Use of technology—smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems—is expected, along with adherence to codes, regulations, safety training, and uniform dress standards. The role operates in a professional office setting, utilizing standard equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers, while also demanding physical tasks typical of facility maintenance. Physical requirements reflect the ability to perform manual labor, operate tools, and respond to emergency situations. • Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, and grounds equipment. • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices. • Perform carpentry tasks, snow removal, painting, and replacement of building finishes. • Install and modify building equipment and systems as needed. • Maintain fire alarm systems, fire pumps, and other life safety equipment. • Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests. • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for safety hazards and preventive maintenance. • Utilize smartphones, tablets, computers, and building automation systems for work orders and reporting. • Follow all applicable codes, regulations, company directives, and safety training requirements. • Work extended shifts, on‑call standby, and overtime during priority or emergency events.

What You Bring
Candidates must hold a High School Diploma or GED, possess a valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) with a good driving record, and demonstrate basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word. Benefits
