About the Role

The specialist supports communication and engagement for complex infrastructure projects, working closely with project teams to execute public‑facing communications, stakeholder coordination and outreach throughout planning, design, pre‑construction and construction phases. The role provides hands‑on, day‑to‑day communications support and ensures timely, accurate information is shared with external stakeholders, partners and the public. The position involves regular interaction with contractors, consultants and community stakeholders, occasional site visits and attendance at public events to support outreach and time‑sensitive communications. It is ideal for a communications professional who thrives on keeping people informed, building stakeholder trust and delivering creative, organized communication. • Create and distribute communication materials (FAQs, fact sheets, presentations, advisories, notices) adhering to branding standards. • Coordinate internal communications through approved channels for project teams and partners. • Attend project meetings to translate technical content into clear public messaging. • Manage project logistics, schedules, deliveries, and support communication distribution. • Verify permits, notices, permissions, and other project requirements. • Ensure contractors deliver documents, phasing plans, laydown sites and notices per contracts. • Track, monitor, and report public questions, complaints, and concerns; escalate sensitive matters. • Support stakeholder engagement initiatives and maintain organized outreach records. • Provide logistic project information to the communications manager for publications and outreach. • Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, contractors and operations teams to align logistics. • Monitor construction activities, track operational limitations, mitigate issues, and alert leadership. • Coordinate reporting to global Construction Logistics Management and other support teams. • Deliver reports to the Executive Team and Airport Development Executives.

What You Bring

Candidates must pass a federal background check and be prepared to submit an up‑to‑date resume, certifications or licenses, professional references and a project list with values, dates and companies. These are W‑2, long‑term positions with full benefits and no per‑diem or relocation packages. • Proficient with Canva, Adobe Illustrator, and InDesign. • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. • Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., Benchmark) for public advisories. • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, public relations, planning, journalism, marketing, or related field. • Minimum 10 years of public or stakeholder communications experience, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure projects. • Relevant licensure or certifications in public relations preferred. • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency with digital platforms (CMS, email marketing, social media, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite). • Ability to manage competing priorities in fast‑paced environments. • Experience engaging diverse communities, government agencies, and media. • Familiarity with public project lifecycles, phasing, and communication requirements. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Must pass a federal background check.
