About the Role
The Account Manager is tasked with proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing commercial and industrial waste customers within an assigned territory, while also expanding the penetration of Republic Services’ product suite among these accounts. Key duties include building long‑term customer loyalty, staying knowledgeable about the company’s services and pricing, handling contract renewals, and responding to cancellation requests according to the escalation policy. The role also involves supporting pricing initiatives, documenting all sales activities in Salesforce, and collaborating with operations to resolve service issues. • Maintain and retain existing customers through long‑term relationship building. • Conduct contract re‑signs to extend relationships and improve profitability. • Respond to cancellation requests per escalation policy. • Support pricing initiatives and communicate with customers proactively. • Log daily activities (calls, meetings, proposals) in Salesforce. • Capture customer emails, minimize rate restrictions and credits. • Sell the full suite of Republic Services products to increase penetration. • Review retention metrics with Sales Manager weekly. • Partner with operations to resolve service issues. • Represent the company at trade shows, chambers of commerce, and other events.

What You Bring
Successful candidates will have at least one year of relevant sales experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferably experience in the waste or transportation industry.
