About the Role

Mortenson is currently seeking a Superintendent who will coordinate, plan, and supervise assistant superintendents, contractors, and craft activities within a specific discipline, while developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service. • Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule. • Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability. • Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies. • Develop and manage project schedules, including three- and six-week look‑ahead schedules. • Create a site logistics plan and lead utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment. • Collaborate with project partner superintendents. • Conduct on‑site project orientations, pre‑construction planning sessions, and site meetings. • Supervise project partners, craft foremen, and crews; manage hiring, transfers, and dismissals as needed. • Coach and mentor assistant superintendents, craft team members, and other project team members. • Ensure proper task coding of work hours, track progress and craft productivity. • Handle craft team training and conduct career development discussions. • Build relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. • Lead by example, provide coaching, feedback, and manage performance. • Provide high‑level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance. • Recognize and mitigate unfavorable conditions and improve processes.

Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $126,300 – $189,500, with higher ranges for certain office locations (Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Washington, D.C.).
