About the Role
As part of HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group, you will design critical infrastructure that powers the digital age, from high‑performance data centers enabling AI to dynamic commercial spaces that support sustainability and human experience. Our multidisciplinary teams blend mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil expertise to solve complex design challenges with precision, creativity, and collaboration. • Lead the technical team to develop and execute the BES technology vision, roadmap, strategy, and investment plan. • Integrate market‑driven innovation with practical implementation and risk management. • Create communication strategies to connect BES technology professionals and keep stakeholders informed, including geographic and market sector leadership. • Standardize technology workflows and delivery practices to improve efficiency and quality. • Promote thought leadership through industry awards, publications, speaking engagements, and leadership roles. • Define and develop the future technology workforce; recruit, develop, and retain talent. • Partner with stakeholders to build a network of Technical and Subject Matter Experts supporting the HDR enterprise. • Identify hardware and software needs (e.g., high‑powered computing, modeling) and collaborate with corporate IT to implement solutions. • Develop strategies to support practice groups and foster technology talent collaboration and skill development.

What You Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or related field. • Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in consulting architecture & engineering. • Proven leader with a growth mindset who can implement technology strategies and drive organizational change. • Excellent communication and collaborative skills across diverse teams. • Broad understanding of technologies applied within the architectural‑engineering sector. • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a closely related field. • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience. • Professional or engineering registration with related technical experience. • Experience managing diverse teams and working cooperatively with directors, operations, technical, and marketing managers.
