About the Role

In this position you will take a key role within project teams, designing and assessing structures such as concrete process tanks, pump stations, reservoirs and related facilities, while also conducting condition assessments of existing assets. • Perform advanced structural design of water and wastewater facilities. • Prepare engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and regulatory/funding submissions. • Develop project scopes, budgets, and design approaches for small projects; support business development and proposal writing. • Lead and coordinate meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and vendors to define requirements and specifications. • Serve as a technical resource on complex projects and mentor team members. • Apply and stay current with advanced structural engineering principles and emerging methods. • Resolve complex engineering issues where precedents are limited. • Assist in proposal development and contract negotiations.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in structural engineering, is working towards or possesses RPEQ/Chartered status, and brings at least eight years of consulting experience in concrete and steel infrastructure design. Strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving abilities, and a willingness to expand expertise in water and wastewater projects are essential, with site inspection experience viewed favorably. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering. • Working towards or holding RPEQ registration and/or Chartered status. • Minimum 8 years of consulting engineering experience in structural design of civil/industrial infrastructure. • Proven experience with concrete and steel design for water and wastewater projects. • Strong stakeholder management skills with clients, authorities, and commercial entities. • Ability to prioritize workloads while maintaining trusted relationships across teams. • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills for both desktop and field engineering challenges. • Site inspection and construction support experience (highly regarded).
