About the Role
The Director will lead the pursuit, win, and execution of healthcare projects such as inpatient hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, behavioral health facilities, and medical office buildings. Responsibilities include managing the regional life sciences team, developing business plans, tracking project pipelines, and ensuring technical excellence throughout project delivery. • Lead pursuit, win, and execution of healthcare projects (hospitals, surgery centers, behavioral health, medical offices). • Manage and expand regional life sciences team, overseeing staff and project delivery. • Develop and coordinate regional and national business plans, target pursuits, and revenue forecasts. • Track leads, forecast pipeline, and create winning strategies and project teams. • Maintain and deepen network with owners, architects, PM/CM firms, and general contractors. • Ensure technical excellence and resolve project issues quickly. • Develop strategies to penetrate new clients and increase high‑margin work. • Oversee project financials, inter‑office and client reporting, and meet revenue goals ($1‑3 M annually). • Articulate and promote the firm’s value proposition in the healthcare market. • Lead or support integrated services sales presentations. • Write articles, white papers, and present at industry conferences. • Recruit senior staff with market‑specific experience and provide leadership to new hires. • Provide strong leadership, strategic thinking, and client‑focused business acumen.

What You Bring
• Demonstrate knowledge of OSHPD regulations and design/build contracts. • Possess 15+ years of life‑science design experience, including at least 5 years in consulting engineering. • Minimum 7 years of management experience and 7+ years in engineering business development. • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience). • Thorough knowledge of MEP systems; PE registration highly desired. • Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and organizational skills; ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments.
