About the Role
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet company and customer quality expectations. Duties include performing part and product inspections, documenting results, and identifying and quarantining non‑conforming (NC) parts. The technician determines the root cause of NC parts, verifies First Article Inspection (FAI) on all production lines, and carries out scheduled control and process audits. Inspection findings are reported using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, and Quality Alerts are created to notify operators of issues. The role also involves investigating non‑conforming products, applying problem‑solving techniques, and contributing to pre‑production quality planning by developing Quality Assembly documents and participating in product and process reviews. What You Bring
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of one year of quality experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in electronics or electrical engineering technology, ASQ Quality Technician certification, three to five years of quality technician experience—preferably in the power industry—Six Sigma or Lean certification, statistical process control knowledge, and familiarity with delta‑wye three‑phase transformer and resistive load bank technology. Applicants must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Richmond, VA (active‑duty military exempt); no relocation assistance is offered. • Minimum requirement: High school diploma/GED and at least one year of manufacturing quality experience. • Preferred qualifications: Associate degree in electronics/EE technology, ASQ Quality Technician certification, 3–5 years as a Quality Technician, Six Sigma/Lean, SPC knowledge, and understanding of transformer and load bank technology. • Candidates must reside within 50 mi of Richmond, VA (military exempt); no relocation assistance offered.
